I’m not sure how you found your way here today, but I’m still just getting started on the learning curve when it comes to blogging, and hope to start providing content that is more interesting as I get into the swing of things!
Why the name?
I chose “Turn Neither” from scripture references such as Deuteronomy 28:14 or Proverbs 4:27, where the phrase “Do not turn aside to the right or the left” is used to express a commitment and focus to following upon a very particular course regardless of life’s possible distractions or alluring alternate paths.
I found that this concept ties in nicely with the imagery of the gate that is narrow and the way that is hard that leads to life. As Christians, we have devoted ourselves to the narrow way, knowing that the path to destruction is not only wide, but can be found on either side of the path we’re on.
The purpose of this blog
My hope is that I can regularly post on insights I have while reading scripture and/or when the Spirit has called it to mind while I consider the world in which we live.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Therefore, there are always new ways in which the Bible can be applied to the many situations in which we find ourselves, no matter how unique they may seem.
How regular will the posts be?
At this time, I have a full time job and plenty of other things vying for my time. My hope is that I will still post more than once a week, and that they will become more common as I get into blogging and start to understand more about the tools and how to be more concise in the topics I hope to address.
Thanks for stopping in. Please check back later for more posts as I share what God has been teaching me through his written word!
